You can choose to make Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) in addition to your normal contributions to the Plan. These (tax deductible) payments are invested in funds you choose from a list pre-selected by the Trustee. When you retire, your AVC fund is used to provide additional benefits over and above your main Plan entitlement.
Aims to produce a return in excess of its benchmark principally from a portfolio of Sterling denominated cash, deposits and money market Instruments
Invests mainly in longdated UK government bonds (around 50%) and longdated UK corporate bonds (around 50%) and aims to produce a return in excess of its benchmark.
